A Closer Look at Education Policy

For over 40 years the Congressional Black Caucus has been at the forefront of progressive legislation for African Americans and other minority groups across the United States. This month marks 61 years since the Supreme Court declared segregation in public schools unconstitutional in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, 347 U.S. (1954) Though the fight for education reform continues, we want to take some time to look at the great strides advocates like Representative Adam Clayton Powell (NY) and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus have made since the 1960’s.
