As part of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference, Avoice will showcase the historic leadership and contributions of the CBC’s first female member, Rep. Shirley Chisholm. Current CBC members will pay tribute to her pioneering efforts. Speakers will discuss the role of CBC women in policy issues. Highlights from the movie Chisholm ’72 will be shown.
