Steven Horsford

Congressman Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2019 (116th Congress-Present), a seat he held previously during the 113th Congress (2013-2015). Before Congress, Horsford led the Culinary Training Academy, Nevada’s largest job training program, for more than a decade. He also served as a Nevada state senator, where he made history as Nevada’s first African American state senate majority leader. Horsford serves on the Ways and Means Committee and Armed Services Committee. Horsford received a degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
