Congressman Gabe Amo has represented Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2023 (118th Congress-Present). He currently serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Before coming to Congress, Amo was a special assistant to the president and deputy director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs during the Biden Administration and a staff member of the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs during the Obama Administration. He also served as director of public engagement and community affairs for former Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo. Amo earned a bachelor’s in Political Science from Wheaton College and received a Marshall Scholarship to study at the University of Oxford.
