Congressman Glenn Ivey has represented Maryland’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2023 (118th Congress-Present). Before Congress, Ivey was an attorney who served on Capitol Hill as chief counsel to the Senate Majority Leader Senator Paul Sarbanes during the Whitewater investigations, as chief majority counsel to the Senate Banking Committee, and on the staff of Rep. John Conyers (D-MI). Ivey also worked for U.S. Attorney Eric Holder as an assistant U. S. attorney and chair of Maryland’s Public Service Commission. He was twice elected state’s attorney for Prince George’s County, Maryland. In Congress, he serves on the House Committee on Appropriations and the House Committee on Ethics. Ivey is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.
