Rep. William Dawson on 1966 Civil Rights Act (H.R. 14765) – Congressional Record (1966)

As part of his remarks in the Congressional Record, Rep. William Dawson (IL) urges approval of a Fair Housing Board to enforce title IV of the act. He also argues that the choice to exempt a large percentage of the nation’s housing would mean the act would do little to address growing racial stratification in major cities. August 1, 1966
