Congressman Mel Reynolds represented Illinois’s 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 1995 (103rd-104th Congresses). He served on the Economic and Educational Opportunities and the Ways and Means committees. Reynolds earned undergraduate degrees from the City Colleges of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University and won a Rhodes Scholarship to the University of Oxford, where he attended Lincoln College and received an LL.B.
