Congressman Al Green Continues Fight to End Housing Discrimination (2010)
Press release announcing committee approval of Rep. Al Green’s (TX) Veterans, Women, Families with Children, and Persons with Disabilities Housing Fairness Act of 2010. Designed to strengthen fair housing enforcement, the bill included language authorizing funding for HUD to administer a nationwide testing program, a grant program for non-profits working to eliminate causes of housing segregation, and additional funding for the Fair Housing Initiatives Program.
