Report from the House Committee on Education and the Workforce on No Child Left Behind Act of 2001

Upon favorably reporting the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 out of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, the Committee filed its report on the bill which included additional and dissenting views. Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (VA-3), together with Congressman John F. Tierney (MA-6) and Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-4), filed additional views expressing their concern about the legislation’s reliance on standardized testing, an issue that remains a concern today. Here are their additional views.
